Tampa Wiffleball League finishes 2011 season...already.

Tampa League Wiffleball finished up their 10 week season this week. Already? Yeah, I know. You can do that sort of thing when you basically live in heaven where it's 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the middle of winter. Essential information:

STANDINGS:
Rays........19-1
Gators.....7-13
Bandits....7-13
Braves.....7-13

AWARDS:
MVP................................Chris Harley
Cy Young......................Michael Harley
Strikeout King...............Michael Harley
Silver Slugger.................Michael Harley
Golden Hammer................Chris Harley

Guess which team the Harley brothers are on? You guessed it...the Rays. It's only natural they cleaned up on the awards as well. Playoffs begin next week! Braves are facing the Rays and the Bandits are taking on the Gators. I think we all know how this is going to end but you never know, an upset could be in the immediate future.

    Wow, those standings are interesting. At least one of the playoff games will be "anyones" game to win.

    Wow, I need to move. WIFFLE ball competition is fierce here in New England but our season doesn't begin until the frost is gone.

    It's early April and No (outdoor) events have been played up here! While i've been preparing for this upcoming season, down south they're wrapping up their League! Does WIFFLE ball ever end in FLA?

    If Massachusetts got weather like that I'd be throwing so much-my arm would fall off!

    Tampa is the only league I'm aware of in Florida. They'll be done before most of us even start our seasons. I imagine the humidity is simply too much to play in during the dog days of summer. If you've ever experienced that one-of-a-kind southern humidity you can understand why they don't play all summer long.

    What everyone needs to understand, is we would absolutely love to play year rpund, but it just isn't possible.. humidity isnt our problem with TBWL, its the fact that in the summer is rains pretty much every day... And yes, the Harley brothers are TOUGH to beat.. I am a Gator and we just faced them in the World Series and played a pretty good game but still went down 2-0..

    I think we got it dude, afterall I did mention the humidity. You've got a point with the daily rain...plus it's hurricane season. It's understandable you guys play when you do. It makes you unique. I don't think anyone's knocking that.
