Footage Finally Surfaces From Little Fenway's Winter Classic

Finally, someone posted some footage from the Winter Classic they had at Little Fenway! I mean, it did happen over a month ago... Anyway, this short video (which must have been shot with a GoPro Hero or something) gives us a rare glimpse of the recently finished Little Wrigley field. The vines haven't grown over the wall yet but it's still looking good.

A Burning Question

I've watched a lot of videos over the past year and there's a question I've been wanting to ask for quite some time and I simply cannot wait anymore to ask it... Just how many damned mini Fenway Park's are out there!? It seems like everyone has one in their backyard. Don't get me wrong, Fenway is a gorgeous field but you'd think that people would come up with some original concepts for field construction on their property. I guess I won't judge. If you like the Red Sox, that's cool and it's your property so do what you wish. But think about how many Fenway Parks you've seen on this blog and elsewhere. It's astounding.

SLAM Diabetes

The first annual SLAM Diabetes Tournament, played at Little Fenway and Little Wrigley, appears to have been a huge success. They will be having the 2nd annual SLAM Diabetes tournament in mid-June next year so if you're wanting to get in on that just go to their site and register. This is just one more tournament to consider when you name tournaments that support a great cause. Also, when watching the video you'll notice Luis Guzmán hanging out at the tournament.

Great Interview with Travis Roy

You may remember the video that was posted on here recently made by Golden Stick at the Travis Roy Benefit Tournament at Little Fenway. Here is a great interview with Travis Roy that was taken on that day.

Golden Stick teams up with Travis Roy Foundation

This year makes the 10th year that people have been raising money for the Travis Roy Foundation. This year Golden Stick took part in the Travis Roy Tournament at Little Fenway and helped the foundation raise a record breaking $406,000 this year alone ($1.5 million since 2002). That's a lot of money for a great cause! For more information on this story READ HERE.

SLAM Diabetes Tournament Promo

There's more to this blog than just a daily post with recent videos or developments in leagues. If you'll notice, there's a tournament page that lists several tournaments that I've found with the location, date and website for each tournament listed. Among them is the SLAM Diabetes Tournament in Essex, VT. There's a lot of tournaments for great causes and this one is no exception. They play this tournament at Little Fenway and Little Wrigley, amazing fields located in Essex. If you're wanting to participate in this tournament, you'd better hurry - this is only a 12 team tournament. I don't know how much the cost is for each team but since it's small and for a cause I'd say at least $100/team.
