Interesting news from Newtown Township (suburb of Philadelphia) this month. According to Philly Burbs (news source) - a man, Jay Louis Colton, repeatedly struck his teenage daughter with a wiffle bat when she refused to get up to get ready for school. Sound too weird to be true? I thought that too when I first read it but I assure you it's legit. The teenage daughter scratched one of her father's eyes, a matter that needed medical attention at a local hospital prior to his arrest. The daughter suffered from large deep bruises on her legs, buttocks, and forearm from the beating. On the bright side, she got her wish in not wanting to go to school that day. Louis is being charged with first-degree felony aggravated assault, first-degree misdemeanor simple assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.
